“I haven’t lived here since I was tiny, but my entire family is British and I’ve been raised as a Brit. My sister lives and works in London as a barrister, but nobody can get their head round the fact I’m anything but a Hollywood girl. In the US nobody thinks of me as American, and here, nobody believes I’m British,” Mischa Barton told Daily Mail.

She even told the Daily Mail about when she attempted to lose her British Accent.

“When I lived in New York I tried really hard to ditch the British accent to fit in. I went to classes and everything,” she said. “I ended up putting on this terrible ‘Nu Yawk’ accent and hid behind that for a while. Now I don’t try to hide it so much, but my accent slips all over the place. It’s a mess - I don’t sound like I’m from anywhere any more.”

When I listen to Mischa she sounds like an American, but there is nothing wrong with being an American and a “Brit.” It could be wonderful. You would have two places to call home.

Save the Children

I had the privilege of traveling to Africa as an ambassador and got to see first-hand how invaluable their efforts are towards improving the lives of underprivileged children worldwide. According to www.vogue.co.uk, Mischa Barton will open the Harrods summer sale this weekend.

“It’s really exciting and it should be really fun,” Mischa Barton told VOGUE.COM.

“Harrods is iconic and a great buy during a blowout sale is a girl’s dream come true. That said, not only is it an honour to be asked to open its annual sale, but something I’m truly looking forward to.”

So does Mischa have any shopping tips for her fans out there?

“Look for staples.”

“I love London style - it’s nice and eclectic. I see, in my future, spending a lot of time in the UK,” said Mischa.

I have to admit that I love London fashion, but I am not sure how I would look in it. I find it hard to find clothing in my size that I like.

“Mischa Barton Likes Her Hair Natural”

According to www.myfashionlife.com, Mischa Barton likes her hair natural.

“I let my hair do its own thing; I don’t style it. My hair is very fine and gets greasy, so I usually wash it every day with Herbal Essence shampoo. I like it down and natural. When I wake up, my hair is a mess, but once I brush it through, it’s okay.”

I have to agree. I prefer to wash and condition mine, brush it and let it do what it wants. I do have thick hair, and I do not want to do anything to hurt it.

Mischa also prefers to do her own manicure.

“Everyone in Los Angeles is obsessed with getting their nails done. Everyone goes for the $10 manicure, but I’m always so busy, I just do them myself. I love Chanel’s Vandetta, a dark purple, and Rouge Noir,” she told Britain’s InStyle Magazine.

Manicures have never been my thing. I have always thought they were a waste of money. Anyway, my nails break so easily - - I just cut them short.

If it isn’t Miley Cyrus upsetting some of Asian population, than it is someone else. This time it happens to be Mischa Barton. According to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com, Mischa has upset Hindus around the world.

When Mischa was in India filming Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain, she wanted to learn to play the sitar, but the only problem is that she could not find a teacher. So she decided to talk about it on her Myspace page.

“I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it’s coming along real slow as apparently it’s not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here. I guess it’s not (the) late 60s with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying in Mischa’s Myspace post.

US Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, said: “India has an abundance of great sitar players. If Mischa could not procure a great sitar teacher in India, the chances of finding the teacher outside India would be even slimmer. Her comment was a very immature statement. It mocks the rich musical heritage of India.”

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitar, a sitars is “a plucked stringed instrument predominantly used in Hindustani classical, where it has been ubiquitous in Hindustani classical music since the Middle Ages.”

I am sure that Mischa did her best to try to find a teacher. When you are in a different country things are not as easily found than in which the country you call home.

Woo Hoo. Mischa Barton has a movie coming out. “Homecoming” will be in theaters on July 17th.

I am excited that her show got picked up. The bad thing is that I missed it. Maybe they will have it on again, so I can (along with her other fans) can see it.

Some people like Mischa Barton’s style and others don’t. I seem to be on the side that likes it. Well for the most part, there have been some outfits I wondered why? I even like some of her headbands.

“A few years ago people thought I was nuts for wearing headbands and fringing, but things I have been into have kind of become more popular recently,” Contactmusic quoted Mischa, as saying.

“I grew up with pictures of Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg on my wall, they have always been my style. I am a weird replica of the 70s! But it is cool to see that it is back on trend.”

I am shock to hear that she thinks that the United States does not like if you look different., but that is what Mischa feels.

“What is nice about fashion in Britain is that you get to be more eccentric and a bit more yourself. In the States they don”t like it when you look too different,” Mischa said

So why not experiment with your outfit?

“It is about experimenting by mixing and matching to develop your own look. You should try to wear something that embodies your sense of style. I think it is bad to wear head to toe all one look,” Mischa added.

Like I said there have only been a few outfits that I have seen her in that I thought was weird, but For the most part, I do like the way she dresses. I would like to think I could pull it off, but I know that I would not. I am to conflicted when it comes to style and what I like.

When I first started writing about Mischa Barton, I really did not know much about her. She had been on some show called the O.C., and Ms. Barton was having trouble with the law. I saw her a possible statistic of a talented actress that had made a wrong turn. But through all this time she has proven me and a lot of the media wrong, even though they would rather not admit it. She has even taken responsibility for what she has done and stands up for what she believes in.

Mischa has her own brand of purses and headbands. She is helping children in Africa. She also has done many movies, since I started to write. Now she is going to be starring in The Beautiful Life, which will air in the fall on the CW. It sounds like it is going to be a great show - - how can it not, it has all the right factors.

Mischa, now, can be considered a great role model. At least in my book. She has even shown that she cares about her fans and everyone around the world. I look forward to seeing her grow as a person and in anything she wants to do.

Could This Be TrueIt has been rumored that Mischa Barton and ex-boyfriend, Luke Pritchard, where spotted together in London.

“The Kooks had played a low-key gig to help launch The Flowerpot, a new venue… and the boys were enjoying drinks at an after-party upstairs. Mischa was originally at nearby (hotspot) Proud, but headed over to The Flowerpot once she knew Luke and his pals would be there,” the Daily Star quoted a source as telling the London Paper.

Mischa attended the small concert.

‘Mischa made a beeline for Luke, and they soon started kissing, before then leaving the party to go back to Mischa’s hotel room,” the source added.

I guess we will have to see if it is true or not. I will let you know.

“Last night I attended a charity event hosted by Kevin Spacey in London. It was a private dinner in support of the Ecology Trust and the Aspinall Foundation at Ormeley Lodge.

The Ecology Trust distributes funds to frontline and unsung organizations battling to protect the environment, both domestically and globally. Whereby the Aspinall Foundation is a charity that sets out to protect threatened species such as elephant, rhino, cheetah, chimpanzee, mountain gorilla, African wild dog, and marine species such as the sea turtle.

It was incredible meeting Kevin Spacey. He’s a wonderful actor and I truly admire his work. It was an honor to have been invited to his event not to mention the fact that it was for such a worthy cause.”

Earth Day is an occasion where we all take the time to become more conscious of the way we treat our planet, but in reality, it’s something we should be aware of every single day.

It shouldn’t take a holiday to remind us of the damage we’ve done to the earth. Every single day should be spent doing little things to conserve energy and water. Walk places! Ride your bike! Not only is it good for you, but you won’t be emitting pollutants into the earth’s atmosphere. Obviously, conserving water is a big (and easy) thing to do. Don’t leave water running when you’re brushing your teeth, limit yourself to 5-10 minute showers, make sure your faucets are never dripping, etc. Another one of my favorite methods is to go to the grocery store with reusable shopping bags; it’s a great way to save paper and plastic.

One difference between Earth Day and your average day is that today is one that should really be celebrated! Go outside and enjoy the beauty of nature!!! Have a picnic with your friends or family…trust me, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon.

They were shown in two separate issues of Cosmopolitan UK — one being the May issue that I actually posed partially nude for. It was a really incredible experience — I was pretty confident about the shoot because I knew I would be somewhat covered. I was definitely really excited about doing it because with all of the attention my body has been getting lately I wanted to show everyone that I am comfortable in my own skin. It’s crazy the way I’m labeled as too fat one minute, and then too skinny the next — I am who I am and I felt that posing in Cosmo was a good way to express my sentiments on the matter. ”

Mischa Baron is Shakespeare

According to www.contactmusic.com, Mischa Barton wants to take a break from films and try out the theater. She wants to be in a Shakespearean play.

She says, “I recently did a Shakespeare course because they don’t teach Shakespeare properly in American schools. But I suppose as with any play it is about finding the right cast and actors and script for you.”
