Mischa Barton Has Found Her Calling in Life

According to www.thaindian.com, Mischa Barton has said that charity work is a calling.

Mischa has visited a school in Soweto, where she fixed lunches for the children, which is part of Save the Children, she is an ambassador of.

Barton claims that it was a life-changing.

“I went to see this little boy, Tembinkosi. He was so sweet and shy. He was “only eight . . . He has no toys. He sleeps on the floor in a room full of dirt and he only gets one meal a day. It was terrible. But if I can raise money, that will make a difference,” Mischa tells Times online.

“I see so many celebrities who don’t take the time to do anything, which is pretty terrible in its own way. What’s the point of celebrity and all this stupid press we get? I think young people should be more active, vote, be more involved in charities,” Barton said.

I agree with Mischa. We should get involved with charities - - not just celebrities, but everyone.

“As a 22-year-old, I think the society we live in is pretty sad. And Im not very proud of what’s happened to my generation. I was at this party and someone wrote up on the wall, Nothing relevant has happened in my generation. Well, that’s not true its just the things that have happened, such as Iraq, you aren’t very proud of. I think my generation is obsessed with things you can get quickly, a short attention span, a blog about anything, fame for 15 minutes. I don’t care what people think about me. I just want to draw attention to the issue, Barton continues.

“Once you make money, you have a responsibility to people, and for someone like me whose career has become very public and whom everybody is photographing and gossiping about anyway its nice to have something which you can draw attention to and for which you can use your fame,” she said.

I completely agree with Mischa. If I was able to do that what she and other celebrities can do, I would. Don’t get me wrong because there are other celebrities that use their success to help people. There are also many people who are not famous that do what they can do to help other people.

Mischa is Happy Being Single

Recently Mischa Barton was linked with her ex-boyfriend, Josh Hartnett, but according to www.teenhollywood.com and People Magazine, this is not true.

“It’s so stupid. I’m happy being single, and that’s what I am,” Mischa told People Magazine.

I am glad that she is happy.

Mischa is Making a Difference in the World

According to www.ecorazzi.com, Mischa has been helping out children in Soweto.

“I visited a primary school in Soweto, where a lot of the children are orphans and there is a high incidence of AIDS,” Mischa reveals. “I helped prepare and serve lunch to the children; it’s just simple maize and for many it’s the only meal they get. We chatted and I took part in their class. They are heartbreakingly beautiful children. I feel so privileged that I could just meet [the children] and hope to make a difference!”

According to http://en.wikipedia.org, “Soweto is an urban area in the City of Johannesburg, in Gauteng, South Africa.”

It is wonderful to see a celebrity help children with their lunches.

Is Mischa Barton and Josh Hartnett Back Together?

According to http://sify.com, it has been reported that the lovely Mischa Barton has reunited with her ex- boyfriend, 30 year old Josh Hartneet.

You may know Josh from the movies’ Halloween H20: 20 Years Late, The Faculty, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, and 40 Days and 40 Nights.

“Josh looked pretty bored and was totally ignoring Mischa. She persisted though, and kept getting closer and closer to his table while dancing provocatively. Mischa had a lot to contend with, but didn’t give up,” an informed source said.

We’ll just have to wait and see if they get back together.

Mischa Stays Away From The Gossip

According to www.showbizspy.com, Mischa doesn’t read the gossip websites. She feels that it is “unhealthy”

“I don’t look at the gossip websites — it’s unhealthy and I think it’s a large part of what drives people in LA crazy. I’m an actress. I’m in this to find the next great project and think about all the positive things I’m doing. The fact is I’m having a real life with friends and being a normal human being.”

It is true that some negative gossip on some of the websites is dangerous. It could drive people loco. I would not want to read anything bad about me anywhere. There would be that chance that I would say something back. Not all gossip sites are bad. It is good for her to look forward - - not back.

Mischa Splits With Taylor Lock

I did not think this could happen. I thought that Mischa had found Mr. Right, but it looks like Mischa Barton and her boyfriend, Taylor Lock, who is the front man for the music group the Roony, have decided to go their own separate ways, according to www.showbizspy.com.

Their relationship ended on September 5, 2008, after a three week safari trip in Africa, according to according to America’s In Touch Weekly Magazine.

“Mischa and Taylor’s romance worked because they spent so much time apart. He’d be on tour or she’d be working in Europe and they talked over the phone or e-mail,”a source tells America’s In Touch Weekly Magazine.

Who knew that a long distance relationship could work?

“They fought almost every day on the trip and she broke up with him just a few days after they returned to L.A.”

I am sorry that their relationship did not work, but Mr. Right is out there somewhere for Mischa.

   Mischa’s New Headbands

According to www.myparkmag.co.uk, Mischa will be working with designer Stacey Lapidus to start her own line of hair accessories. She will be creating a line of headbands covered in crystals, pearls, feathers and silk.

“Accessories are fun and they’re easy to wear. I’ve always loved headbands and have worn Stacey’s headbands for a while,” Mischa said.

Honestly, I am not sure what it would be like to wear them, but I could be picturing them wrong. I am sure the headband line will be great.

The cost of the headbands will be between $40 and $200 each.
