Busy, Busy, Busy with Mischa
Wow, Mischa Barton sure is busy these days. Does she ever get home to Maxwell Place?
The 21-year-old former star of The O.C. was close to her Hoboken home this summer during the filming of Assassination of a High School President, aka “The Sophomore,” in Bayonne and Jersey City. Then it was off to Russia to film Finding t.A.T.u. Now, according to the Leader-Post of Regina, she’s in Canada filming Walled In.
A reporter for the newspaper, Courtney Wagner, went to see Modest Mouse in concert and ran into Mischa in the ladies room.
As I was washing my hands, I took a glance to my left and saw a girl fixing her makeup in the mirror. The glance turned into a double take as I realized it was Ms. Barton. I immediately tried to think of something clever to say to her so I would be able to tell the tale and was about to ask if she had ever “seen these guys play before.” Luckily for me the people she was with walked up and started talking. Afterwards it was pointed out to me that Modest Mouse had appeared on The O.C. Duh.
Because she was with a friend in a wheelchair, Wagner got to watch the show from a VIP area - with Barton. And later, she saw her at a local bar, where she agreed to a picture.
In Walled In, Mischa plays the lead - a demolition company rep who uncovers a horrifying secret while inspecting a building. She’s described as a recent graduate from an engineering school - Stevens? Why not!
